It was established to address the growing need among Muslim women and girls in and around Akola, Maharashtra, India, for a comprehensive understanding of the Qur'an, its purpose, and its spiritual essence. Rooted in the belief that Islam is a complete way of life offering practical solutions to real-life issues, the institute is dedicated to making Islamic teachings accessible to people of all ages, genders, socio-economic backgrounds, and geographical locations.

History
The roots of Fahm-e-Qur'an Institute can be traced back to the Dar-e-Arqam Welfare Association, founded in 2009. This association has actively promoted Islamic values, free from biases and sectarianism, while also working for the welfare of the deprived classes in society. The establishment of Fahm-e-Qur'an Institute was a natural progression, driven by the increasing demand for a deeper understanding of the Qur'an among the local Muslim community.
Founding Principles
Founded to address the educational needs of Muslim women and girls in and around Akola, Maharashtra, India, Fahm-e-Qur'an Institute has its roots in the Dar-e-Arqam Welfare Association, established in 2009. Through the Dar-e-Arqam Welfare Association, we work towards promoting purely Islamic values and thinking, free from biases and sectarianism. Welfare projects target the most deprived classes in society, offering assistance to the needy and those affected by calamities

Fahm-e-Qur'an Institute is governed by a dedicated board of Directors who oversee the management of our activities. In our commitment to transparency, our financial accounts undergo annual audits, and donations made to the Association are exempted from taxes. This ensures that our community can trust in the integrity and accountability of our operations
